Some people may disagree but, in my eyes, the Suicide archetype is a modified take on Group Slug
Both of your new commanders, Zhulodok, Void Gorger and Omarthis, Ghostfire Initiate , are designed to catapult you well ahead of the pack, while Rise of the Eldrazi and Darksteel Monolith will keep you there indefinitely
And-yes-the Reserved List does have some benefits
Its not bad as a mono-black group slug commander, but definitely slows down a bit
There are a few mechanics which really boost the decks ability to chain-cast spells and get either commanders ability rolling earlier, which is nice for a precon which lacks the kind of fast mana sources you usually find in this kind of deck
The end result is that rather than having 37 lands in my Commander decks, in a post-MDFC world, I generally have 3132 "real" (non-MDFC) lands, but thanks to the eight or nine MDFCs, the total number of lands in my decks actually increases to 40 or 41
